To make things more interesting this year, we changed our course a few times, using 4 different courses and distances in which over 60 cyclists took part in total. The bikes, helmets, wheels, gear and gadgets that people used in the beginning are totally different to what is turning up on a Tuesday night now with most people going “all out” to better their times. The improvements which people made were clearly evident when we returned to our original course recently and everyone had taken minutes off their previous times for both this year and last year. Davin Power set the fastest time this year for the 10miler (Airport route) with Martin Kirwan holding the record on the other 3 courses including the Portlaw hill climb. Others in the top 3 for the 4 different courses include Shane Scadding, Paul Wyse, Mike Bowes, John McDonald and Kyle Barrett. In the ladies section, Olive Costello holds the fastest time on all 4 courses with Norma Goggin and Caroline Russell not far behind.
