28th June 2011 - Caherciveen Triathlon - Another Podium finish for Chris

Junior athlete Chris Mintern was our only competitor at the recent Triathlon race in Caherciveen which saw almost 200 competitors compete in their sprint distance race.  Chris had a huge lead after the 750m swim, emerging after an amazing time of just 9mins with the nearest competitor a minute and a half behind.  He followed this up with the 3^rd fastest bike and 2^nd fastest bike split of the day to remain in the lead for the duration of the race and win comfortably in 1.02.01, over a minute and a half ahead of the next competitor.  There seems to be no stopping Chris these days as he gets stronger each year.
