2nd May 2011 - Butlerstown 10k road race

Over 250 runners took part in the annual Butlerstown 10k road race recently with some great results from our own members.  It involved 3 laps with a tough hill on the back road to test the legs and the sanity.  Jim Baldwin had a great race to just miss out on a top 3 finish, finishing 4^th in 35.49mins, first over 40 male.  Paul Wyse was delighted with his run to finish 18^th overall in 37.28mins.  Stephen Butler finished in 40.50mins with Tom Casey not far behind in 42.04mins and John Brennan in 42.57mins.  Ger Hearne was next home in 45.47 with Kieran Eaton in 49.07.

John Brennan decided to make a weekend of it by taking part in the Alfie Hales 4mile road race in Waterford two days later to finish in 26.26mins.
