Clonmel Duathlon

Last weekend saw the inaugural duathlon take place in Clonmel with just over 100 competitors taking part on what turned out to be the warmest day of the year so far.  The 2 runs were 4k, taking in the scenic banks of the river suir for the 2nd half of the course with the 22k bike involving 2 loops of undulating roads.

We had 3 club members take part with Barry Lambe’s strong running ensuring that he finished well up the field in 9th place in 1.12.10.  John McDonald was next home after his strong bike brought him up the filed to finish 13th overall in 1.13.18 with Noel Ryan finishing 24th in 1.17.58.
