12th January 2011 - Training back to normal after xmas Now that Christmas holidays are over, the snow has gone and everyone is back to a routine again, club training sessions will resume as normal this week. A typical training week at the moment includes Track sessions at RSC on Monday nights (with Waterford AC), Run session and Club-only Pilates class on Tuesdays, Swim lessons on Wednesdays, Running league on Thursdays, Swim lessons on Fridays, a choice of club run (in Portlaw woods/or around town) or cycle on Saturdays and club cycle on Sundays. We will also have a variety of other club sessions like open water swimming and cycle time trials/challenges starting in the coming months. Please see our Training section for more details on any of these training sessions. Also, many people decide at this time of the year to take up the challenge of doing a triathlon or duathlon in the coming months. You don’t need to be superfit to achieve this goal. With some training, anyone can accomplish this. We have a wide variety of members in our club, ranging from complete beginners to very experienced, not so fit to very fit, social athletes to regular prize winners, there are training partners for everyone. A link to the full list of races on the Triathlon Ireland calendar can be found on our website. If anyone is interested in joining the club, please check out our website for application forms or contact Martin on 087 2535375 if you wish to discuss anything. |
