20th November 2010 - Dublin City Marathon

The 31st Dublin city marathon took place recently with over 13,000 athletes taking part in this tough 26.2mile run.  We had 8 club members take part with some fantastic results.  Martin Kirwan ran his best time yet beating the elusive 3hr mark to finish in 2.57.24.  Colin Fanning was next home in 3.25.27 with Emmet Kelly just behind in 3.26.29, taking over an hour off his time from last year. Henry Moloney also finished in a brilliant time of 3.29.21 with Stephen Butler delighted with his 1st marathon time of 3.44.57.  Mark Daly was nursing a injury in the weeks leading up to the race so was a bit nervous but ran a strong race to finish in 3.55.39 for his 1st marathon. Emer Broderick was thrilled with her 1st marathon time of 4.11.20 with Kieran Eaton just behind in 4.18.30.
