30th August 2010 - Podium finish in Carlingford Triathlon

Davin Power was our only competitor to travel to Carlingford recently to take part in their very fast Olympic distance course.  The 1500m swim took part in a lake and involved 2 laps with the 40k bike on an out and back pretty flat course, also being 2 laps and finishing on a lovely flat 10k run.

Davin had a good swim to emerge 8^th out of the water but he pedalled hard on the bike to post the 2^nd fastest time of the day which brought him up to 4^th place heading out on the run.  He paced himself well here, not panicking when a few runners ran by him as he ran past them again later on to finish 3^rd overall in 1.59.59.  Another podium finish to add to this tally for this year.
