Triathlon Ireland is launching a new initiative to increase participation and address concerns of a very important, but at this time, minority group of members - Women. Please read on to be part of this...

Women in Triathlon

Triathlon Ireland is committed to an initiative to increase the proportion of our female membership and the number of women participating in races. In the next couple of weeks, we are looking to get together a group of people, from around the country, to achieve these goals. If you're interested in being part of this team then we'd like to kick this off with a discussion meeting to brainstorm ideas. Even if your time is limited any contribution will count. Arrangements can be made for people to participate by phone if required.

Ideas suggested to date include: publicity for our sport; gym based triathlons; accessible training times; beginner coached sessions; meet and train groups; women's only events; short distance races; and provision of creche facilities.

All levels of experience are welcomed here, this is a great opportunity to contribute to our sport.
